Guest Post: Liz from The Quick Journey on Crayola Art

Hey Everybody, Guess What?  Today marks the day of my First Guest Post!  Liz over at The Quick Journey and I decided we would swap posts on DIY art!  So go check out her blog, because she has some amazing stuff on there, including a new post from me, (on Sweater Pillows for Christmas) as well as a super cute Etsy Shop, Paisley or Polkadots! So here she is:

Hey all you Allred Abode friends!  I am Liz, from The Quick Journey.  I am super excited to be here today.

This is me and my hubby.  He's pretty sweet and I am happy I get to walk through life with him.
I get to start every morning with kisses and smiles from two of the most precious little ones anywhere.  Ella is my sweet (almost) 4 year old, and Liam is my wild 1 1/2 year old.

I am a total imposter in the DIY world, but I snuck in somehow, and I'm loving every minute of it.
My blog is full of posts on fashion, awesome Before & Aftersfaithfood, and family

I also make the occasional headband, or two.

You can take a peek at my Etsy Shop- Paisley or Polkadots

Now that you know a little about me, let's get to the DIY:  Crayola art, PEOPLE!!!!

My adorable niece turned one this past August.  Since I {heart} her, I thought I would make something fun and cute for her room.  The idea started with something I saw on Pinterest (follow me if you want).  Then the crayons came into play... the rest is history.

I drew the letter 'K' on cardstock and lined up the crayons.  I chose pinks, yellows, oranges, and greens for my color scheme.

I cut the crayons according to the size I needed for the letter and then hot glued them onto the cardstock.  Make sure you erase the lines as you go, or you will see the line.

Then, I stamped it to make it completely personalized.  :)

I hope you all enjoyed this 'quick' tutorial!!!
Thank you so much for letting me crash in on your blog, Katie!!!
