Thanksgiving Break

Wow, I feel like it has been forever since I have blogged.  I'm trying to stay thankful here, so let's just say it's been a little hectic lately.
So, concentrating on the good things that I am so thankful for:
Nick and I put up our very first Christmas tree (more on that soon)
I made my first quilt (definitely more on that later)
I have gotten some major school projects out of the way
I got an internship, so I'm going to Graduate in April!
And my very favorite of all, I got to see my family!
It was a much needed vacation, and Nick and I listened to the first Hunger Games book on tape (or iphone) on our trip to and from California. I was so grateful to spend extra time with him, and with my family.  Nick's sister and brother-in-law were about an hour away from us visiting their other family, and unfortunately we didn't get to see them, but I can't wait to see them on Christmas!
Anyways, while in Ca, we:
spent lots of time with my family, hung out, played poor man's cranium, had Thanksgiving dinner (I set the table), went on a harbor cruise (where we saw celebrity's houses like Shirley Temple, Nicholas Cage, the owner's of Conroy's Flowers, the owner of Yahoo!, and the set for Gilligan's island (which was cool, since I've played on that beach growing up like 50 times and never knew)),
ate at Wahoo's Fish House and Red Robin, went shopping with my mom at the mall (where she bought Nick awesome Vans, and me bath and body works yummy stuff),
and helped put up my parents' Christmas tree!
It was a blast, and it was the first time I have seen my family since my wedding!
Here is a visual display of some of our fun, thanks to Nick's Iphone and my mom's camera.
