Be Mine, Valentine

We had a big beginning of the year Relief Society Meeting last night, and I was prepping for it a lot this week. Now that's over, and I finally found some time to get my very slim pickings of Valentine's decor up.  Since my dining room is probably the only clean room in the house, and I'm so in love with my dining hutch, I figured here was as good as any place to put it up.  Noah was napping, so I even got to take some pictures.  Should I have been doing 50 loads of laundry, yes.  Am I going to show pictures of my literal dirty laundry to be "real", definitely not :)

I used my Silhouette last year to cut some paper and letters and make my "Be Mine, Valentine" banner, but only half of it could fit on my hutch.  I also made a little felt hearts bunting a couple of years ago that's held up pretty well sinces it's made of felt.

I also shopped the house and found some flowers, a vase, and some Ball mason jars to make a quick centerpiece.  Most of my flowers were purchases just a few months back at Hobby Lobby, and the larger ones came from a floral arrangement my Grandma, a florist, gave me when I was newly married.  Would she be proud of my arranging skills, of which I have none? Probably, she's pretty sweet after all.  Although, I'm not sure you could call what I did "arranging" but more "this is everything I have I'll stick it in." Last, I used little parts of some flowers in my chandelier.

Cute, right??? And the best part is the photographing took way longer than the decorating.
